How to transform your room for -summer

Now that summer is here, I decided it was time to brighten up my bedroom by changing a few accessories, and brightening up the bedding. Sometimes, just a simple change of color can change the whole look of your bedroom. For the winter I had a purple duvet cover, so my room seemed a little dark for summer. I was so excited when I found Linens and Hutch to partner with, as well as Wheaton Whaley Designs!

Before

After

The first few changes I made was changing all of my bedding to white. I got a duvet cover with sham set, and a deluxe sheet set. I also changed my dust ruffle to white instead of an off-white. The quality of the bedding is amazing! It is machine washable, so there's no reason to worry about it being white. I love how soft the materials are, and the sheets aren't too hot for summer.  I kept the same silver pillows, and throw blanket. I added a custom made hot pink pillow from Wheaton Whaley Designs. I always say you can tell the quality of a pillow if you can karate chop it in the middle and it stays, lol! The custom made cover came with a feather pillow insert. The quality it top notch, and I am so happy with the way it turned out! She has so many pretty prints that you should definitely check out! On my night stand, I also added a pink candle to add another pop of color. To transform your own bedroom for summer, just freshen up the colors, make sure there are no dark colors, and remember the brighter the better! The perfect spring dresses with Vera Fishbaugh

Spring is here, and that means cheerful clothes are in!! I have been obsessed with this new brand called Vera Fishbaugh since I found them! If you like Lilly Pulitzer, then you will love them! Their trademark is fun prints and great quality! I chose three dresses to feature for y'all, they are each a different silhouette and print! The first dress is Solstice in the print Cabana Party. It is perfect for a backyard party, or a trip to the beach! It has 3/4 length sleeves, button up collar, and a thick tie belt. It's a lightweight jersey & polyester blend, so you can definitely wear it in the summer heat too! SHOP HERE! The next dress is Citron in Navy. It created the perfect hourglass shape for a slimming effect. It has 3/4 sleeves and is a more fitted dress. Although, it is a really stretchy material of cotton & spandex. It has an A line silhouette for a chic look.  SHOP HERE! The last dress I tried was Granite in Georgia

A trip to the Pioneer Woman's lodge & mercantile

To start off my Spring Break, my family went to Pawhuska, Oklahoma to visit the Pioneer Woman's lodge & mercantile. My Mom especially has watched her shows for a couple years and she has tried some of her recipes. We decided it would be fun to go tour where she films her cooking shows and stop at her mercantile for a little shopping and delicious food! When we first arrived to Pawhuska, we went to the mercantile. The line to eat was really long so we went upstairs to the bakery and grabbed some treats for a snack. They also have coffee and a candy bar! We each tried a different cupcake, and shared some knock you naked brownies. We also got some sticky buns to try for later. Then we went to the lodge. The lodge was located, basically in the middle of nowhere. You get your directions & free ticket at the mercantile, then drive out of the downtown area to their ranch. Fun fact: According to google, the Drummonds own over 400k acres and are the 23rd largest landowners in
