Now that summer is here, I decided it was time to brighten up my bedroom by changing a few accessories, and brightening up the bedding. Sometimes, just a simple change of color can change the whole look of your bedroom. For the winter I had a purple duvet cover, so my room seemed a little dark for summer. I was so excited when I found Linens and Hutch to partner with, as well as Wheaton Whaley Designs! Before After The first few changes I made was changing all of my bedding to white. I got a duvet cover with sham set, and a deluxe sheet set. I also changed my dust ruffle to white instead of an off-white. The quality of the bedding is amazing! It is machine washable, so there's no reason to worry about it being white. I love how soft the materials are, and the sheets aren't too hot for summer.  I kept the same silver pillows, and throw blanket. I added a custom made hot pink pillow from Wheaton Whaley Designs. One of my favorite things to do is bake sweets! This chocolate chip cookie recipe is one of my most liked foods that I make! It is an altered version of an old recipe I found, and I made it my own! These cookies are so gooey and soft! Today I am going to share this recipe with you and step-by-step instructions on how to make them! I hope you enjoy! Ingredients 1 cup shortening 1/3 cup margarine 1 cup sugar 1 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla 3 cups self-rising flour 1 (12-ounce_ package of semi-sweet chocolate chips Cream shortening, margarine, and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Add flour one cup at a time.  Don't over mix the flour into the mixture.  Finish mixing in the flour with a spoon until creamy. Add chocolate chips and mix. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake
