Oreo Balls: Simple and Easy

The holidays are ALL about the sweets! One of my favorite things to make is Oreo balls. They are really simple to make, and so delicious! If you're needing a quick treat to make that is festive and yummy, then this is for your!

Ingredients:
1 package of Oreos (approx. 36 cookies)
1 8 oz. package of cream cheese (softened)
1 package of vanilla candy coating
Wax paper

Optional:
Sprinkles

1. Gather all your ingredients. This is a time-sensitive recipe because of working with the candy coating.

2. Place entire package of Oreos in a blender, and blend until the Oreos have a fine consistency.

3. Add entire package of cream cheese to the Oreo crumbs. It is best to cut up the cream cheese into smaller pieces so it blends easier. Then blend until a smooth consistency.

4. When you are done mixing, place wax paper on a baking sheet. Scoop small balls of the Oreo mixture onto the pan. I used a small scoop that made the perfect shape. When you are done, put the tray of the Oreo balls into the freezer for about 10 minutes. This will help them firm up, and not fall apart when you dip them.

5. When the balls feel firm, it is time to warm your candy coating in the microwave. It is better to melt the coating in a glass bowl, so it is easier to dip.

6. Place a sheet of wax paper onto the counter to put the Oreo balls on after you dip. I use a fork to dip them, and let the ball slide off the fork. For a festive touch, you can add sprinkles! The dipped Oreo balls cool relatively fast, so if you decide to put sprinkles on you have to do it right after you place the ball on the wax paper. The whole dipping process can be quite messy, but that's what makes them homemade!

7. Grab a festive plate or container to place them on and ENJOY!

I hope you enjoyed reading this easy recipe, and you can try it out yourself! Let me know how they turn out in the comments, or send me a message on my contact page!

A trip to the Pioneer Woman's lodge & mercantile

To start off my Spring Break, my family went to Pawhuska, Oklahoma to visit the Pioneer Woman's lodge & mercantile. My Mom especially has watched her shows for a couple years and she has tried some of her recipes. We decided it would be fun to go tour where she films her cooking shows and stop at her mercantile for a little shopping and delicious food! When we first arrived to Pawhuska, we went to the mercantile. The line to eat was really long so we went upstairs to the bakery and grabbed some treats for a snack. They also have coffee and a candy bar! We each tried a different cupcake, and shared some knock you naked brownies. We also got some sticky buns to try for later. Then we went to the lodge. The lodge was located, basically in the middle of nowhere. You get your directions & free ticket at the mercantile, then drive out of the downtown area to their ranch. Fun fact: According to google, the Drummonds own over 400k acres and are the 23rd largest landowners in
